The Winner of the “Coupon Story” was Brenda Lee. I have reprinted her story below so you can read it.
When my daughter was a teenager, I was already using coupon when grocery shopping. Because I usually made her go with me shopping, she was often embarrassed by her mom using coupon. (Typical teenager.) One day, when purchasing Eggland Best eggs, I ask her to get the coupon out of the coupon box. Her remark was “mom, they do not give coupons for eggs”. I reached over and took out the coupon and she said, “mom, you’re good!” A couple of years ago, out of her own and having to watch her budget, she called and said, “I learned something from you mom, coupons really work. I just saved over a $100.00 on my grocery bill.” I just smiled and remembered the above story.
I think it is more important than ever that we teach our children to be wise with their money. Great Story Brenda.
