Grocery Coupons – How I Use Them to Save Money!
After running a coupon site for a number of years I have heard a lot of questions about how to best use grocery coupons to save money. Although coupons are pretty straight forward in nature, maximizing their benefit takes a bit more planning and coordination. My favorite way to use coupons is to find an item that in non-perishable or has a long shelf life and then wait until a really fantastice deal comes along from one of the many supermarkets. Once you have identified your deal you can combine this with manufacturers coupons and double coupons to create the ultimate deal. My doing this over and over again you can make sure that the items that you use most are stocked up in your pantry at the lowest possible price. There are entire books written on the using grocery coupons effectively, but it really only comes down to two essential points to make the above scenario work:
Finding Enough Coupons
- This can often times be the hardest part of couponing, because most consumers only will receive one coupon insert in there Sunday paper. There are a few options to acquire more coupons, some paid and some free. You can ask your neighbors or friends if you can use their inserts or you can simple purchase additional copies of the newspaper. If you are willing to pay a little bit then there are a number of services that provide “Coupon Clipping Services” for a fee. You can browse their website and have a large quantity of coupons delivered right to your mailbox.
Monitoring Local Supermarket Deals
- To get the best price you have to combine store deals, double coupons, and manufacturer coupons all together. Monitoring the prices at all of your local stores can be tricky, but it can be accomplished if you are diligent. I simply read though all of the store circulars and quickly discover if any of my “stock up” items are on sale. Other people prefer to keep a details spreadsheet, but you should stick with whatever works best for you.
thanks
I dont know whats going on but I can not see any of the coupons to download or anything.
You should just have to scroll down and clip the coupons you would like to print. You do have to install the coupon printing toolbar the first time. Please let me know if you continue to have problems.
great!!
My coupons didn’t print! I thought my printer was on and it wasn’t. I turned on my printer and the coupons didn’t print. Geeze….had a lot of coupons I could of used.
What causes the wavy line on the bar codes when printed?
go to your printer and choose to fix alignment option.

made my selections and blasted sites won’t print the coupons. my fault? your fault?
back in and out again with same complaint. followed instructions……… won’t print anything.
I am sorry that some of you are having problems printing the coupons. It is really too bad that the toolbar install is required, because it does have a lot of problems loading on some computers. Unfortunately, this is required since the it is the only way they can control how many coupons are printed. You can try visiting this troubleshooting guide http://www.coupons.com/couponweb/help/print/index.html
Also, if you have a printer that is also a scanner (which many of us do) then the toolbar will not work. The only coupon you can print if you have one of these printers are the ones from Smart Source and you can find those http://www.printcouponsonline.net/coupons3.html
Let me know if you have continued problems.
I printed a coupon just to see it was expired.
Coupons printed fine yesterday but will not print today – what is up???
Hi admin
Your site looks fine for me and all the coupons are fine also. I think there is a problem though with certain scripts, WordPress themes and internet explorer. Maybe some of the folks that are having problems could try with Firefox and see what happens.
I agree. I was using another computer the other day and I wasn’t able to see the coupons. I think it may have something to do with IE9. I’ll see if I can find a fix.
